Mike and Blake of instrumental rock band
I, Octopus were college roommates in 2000 and have been jamming together ever since. Their current drummer, J, joined the band in 2005, playing his first show with the band just weeks before the infamous Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans sending the members of the band into separate cities. This hiatus did not stop them, in fact, since their reformation they have recorded and released a full-legnth album entitled "I'd Rather be a Lightning Rod than a Seismograph" (a Ken Kesey quote) and are working on their next album which will most likely be recorded at Big Brown later this year.
These guys are some of my best friends and co-cerators of the festival, and it wouldn't happen without them!
